About Rule Processors

In System Administration, you can start and stop the Rule Processors defined for the current partition.

The Rule Processor is the KANA Response component that collects Pending rules messages and sends them through the KANA Response rules engine. Messages have a "Pending Rules" state when it first enters the KANA Response system or when it is routed to a queue.

In the KANA Response system configuration file, a KANA Response Administrator defines the number of Rule Processors for each partition. See the Cluster Manager online help and the KANA Response Installation and Configuration Guide for more information on Rule Processors and the configuration file.
