System Administration provides tools for managing the current partition.

Partition Controls

The partition controls in System Administration enable you to:

• Manage parameters for the current partition

• E-mail log files

Components

System Administration enables you to manage the following components for the current partition:

• Database Doctor

• Mail Receivers

• Mail Senders

• Reporters

• Rule Processors

The KANA Response administrator uses the system configuration file to define how many of each component will run on each node.  For example, there might be multiple Mail Receivers so that, if one fails, another can take over. All components of a given type on the same partition share the same parameters.

NOTE: Only one Database Doctor is available per partition.
