Acknowledgments

Use this window to manage the standard text automatically sent in response to certain customers. To display this window, click the Acknowledgments entry under the root department in Content Administration.

The window may contain two panes:

Acknowledgments pane

Use the Acknowledgments pane to view pane a list of the acknowledgments created for the current partition. It contains the following information.

Name

Displays the name assigned with the acknowledgment. Specify this name in rules to automatically send and acknowledgement. Click the Name heading to change the sort order of the acknowledgments list.

Subject

Displays the text to be used in the Subject field of the reply. If this field is blank, then the default text will be RE:, followed by the original Subject field text.

Acknowledgment (details) pane

Use the Acknowledgement pane to add and edit acknowledgments. It appears when you select an existing acknowledgment in the Acknowledgments pane or you select the Create a new entry icon in the toolbar.

Name

Indicates the name assigned to the acknowledgment. This name must be unique within the current department.

Subject

Indicates the text you want to use in the Subject field of the reply. If you leave this field blank, then the default text will be RE:, followed by the original Subject field text.

Department

Indicates the department that owns the greeting

Text

Indicates that the text that will appear in the body of the acknowledgment. See Composing text.
