Custom fields are additional fields that you can define to collect and store data in the KANA Response database. For each custom field that you create, KANA Response creates a custom merge field. When a user selects a custom merge field for an outgoing message, KANA Response substitutes the data from the corresponding custom field.
Custom fields are additional fields that you can create for storing data in the KANA Response database. You can use custom fields to:
Store information specific to your company's business, such as custom account numbers.
Capture information from your company's web forms, if you are using KANA forms.
Carry out Set Fields and Send Message actions in workflow rules.
When PCI Compliance is enabled through the Response config.xml file, the check box to enable encryption in the custom fields page appears on the Adding Custom Fields page.
See Custom Fields to find out the number of custom fields that you can create, the data types for custom fields, as well as other custom field considerations.
